Rainbow trout fishing at the Arctic Circle
Spend an unforgettable day at the Arctic Circle in Salla! Your day begins at 10:00 with transportation from Ruka, Sallatunturi or Basecamp Oulanka. First, we arrive at Napapiiri Café, where you’ll collect your salmon fishing license. From there, we take a short drive to a picturesque wilderness pond, freshly stocked with rainbow trout this spring. Fishing takes place in the serenity of nature under the guidance of a local host.
This activity includes a fishing license (2 hours, 1 fish) and everything you need for a memorable day. You’ll catch your own trout, smoke it in a traditional Lappish hut with your guide, and enjoy it in our cozy restaurant, served with potato salad, creamy dill sauce, fresh bread and a drink.
